Travelogues
Written accounts that accompany the photographs — the places, the roads, and the people met along the way.
Notes from the road
Arka Dutta's photographs focus on environment, society and culture. The travelogues are the written side of that work: field notes, background on locations, and guides that help a reader place an image in its landscape and its community.
They complement the visual galleries rather than repeat them. A frame of a shoreline, a procession, or a working street gains context from the account that surrounds it.
Travel Guides. The galleries are presented as "Photographs and Travel Guides", so the written material is meant to be read alongside the pictures.
